You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

Channeling my inner craftiness

Like most people I know, I am constantly on Pinterest.

Constantly.

Always pinning things I want to try, looking for ideas to do with Cohen, looking at ideas for Finn, and mostly looking at things people have made....insisting that I could make it as well!

So, I began looking at burlap door hangers the other day and decided that I would try it out.

I can't stand for my front door to be bare.

Only having a picture to look and and no directions to follow, I just had to wing it.

It was actually much easier than I thought, especially since it did not cost me a penny to make. Luckily I had all the supplies on hand.

Sweet deal.

This could have been done in a day or so but with my two year old around it has taken me over a week.

But, I think it turned out cute. For my first one:)

I have an idea for my next:)

Go to da beach???

We told Cohen a few days before that we were going to the beach...so every five minutes we heard...

"Go to da beach?"

I can't tell you how happy we were to get there so that we could finally say..

"Yes Cohen, we are going to the beach!"

I was hoping that his fear of the loud waves would have subsided and that he might attempt to at least stick his little toes in the water...

Nope..still terrified.

But he did however enjoy the kiddie pool and playing in the sand.

Unfortunatley,  Mother Nature had other plans and decided that it would be best if she uleashed the flood gates so we could deal with two 2 year olds stuck inside all day.

Thanks for that one.

But I will say that to my surprise Cohen and Cooper throughoutly enjoyed keeping each other company and playing indoors for a while.

I must say that I LOVED watching them play so well together...I think they may be double trouble in the future however:)

After a few days of rain the sun did grace us with its presence and we soaked up as much of it as we could!

We have been going to the beach for several years with the family and I must say that this trip was probably the most fun I have had.

I love spending time with Tyler....

I love spending time with Martha and Jimmy...

AND, I love spending time with Cooper, Rachel and Jason.

My MOST favorite time of this trip was taking the boys to The Track...

OH MY GOODNESS THEY HAD A BALL!!!!

I think the pictures will speak for themselves!

Thank you Pops and Grammy for inviting us on such a fun getaway!! We LOVED it!
