You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

Excuse me, but does J. Lo hang out here??

Alys beach has the most beautiful pool that I have ever been to! We didn't actually stay here but we did come for a visit one evening. Alys beach is between Seaside and Rosemary beach, both if which are super nice. But there was just something about this place that made me feel like I was not in Florida, but some middle eastern resort!
If you have never been here, you are missing out!!

Kinda looks like we are the leaning tower!

We had such a wonderful time with Matt and Susan. They are wonderful friends and oh so much fun to be around!

Geez....Seems like people should all be wearing white when they come to swim here:)

I tried to get a pic of the restaurant but it didn't show up well:(

Each one of those white buildings were personal cabanas that came complete with your own personal flat screen TV. This little pool had water coming out in these little fountains...sooooo pretty!

Me and my sweet hubs!

This was the view from our balcony at the Village at Baytowne Wharf. We could not have hand picked a better condo to stay in! It was right in the center of all the action that Baytowne has to offer. We even got to sit on our balcony and watch a firework show one evening. The really nice thing about staying here was that it was like our own little oasis.....we never had to leave if we didn't want to! We ate amazing food everyday and relaxed to the fullest! (This included an hour massage at the Village spa!!)

We will definitely be coming back to the Village!!!
Here are some pics of our condo!

This place had the best smelling burgers ever!! It was not a good thing that our balcony was directly above this place:)

Babies, Balloons, and BIG Fireworks!!!

Last night we kicked off our Fourth of July activities by going to the Ridgeland Balloon Glow and Firework show! I have been to this before but it has been quite a few years and I was very excited to go with Cohen and Tyler.

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the balloons glow and listening to the band play. Cohen of course showed off his dance skills as he jammed out to the music:)

The display of fireworks was really amazing and as soon as they started Cohen started pointing and oohing and ahhing!!

Oh my goodness what a little heart breaker he will be!!

Droppin it down low, showing off the moves!!

He loved people watching!

Trying to maneuver this glow stick...that he thought was so funny to put on my face!

pretty

Could not get him to look away from the fireworks to take a picture!

Watermelon!

We are enjoying our summer to the absolute fullest! I have looked forward to the time when Cohen would be old enough to be able to enjoy the same things that we do. He has finally reached that stage! This little guy wants to have fun just like us and right along with us. Last night I took him for a ride in his little trailer that hooks onto my bike. He has so much fun watching me struggle to get up a hill carrying a load as big as he is!!!

Afterwards we went inside and he went straight for the fridge and wanted some juice. Well I gave him a watermelon slice instead...and this is what happened to it!!!!'

momma wants a bite!

Down to the rhine!

Aloha!

My parents recently went on an amazing vacation to Hawaii....(jealous!!) and they purchased a little souvenier for Cohen to wear!

Little surfer boy!

Summer Yummer!

Chicken and Rice casserole!
This was really easy and Cohen liked it too!

Served with green beans (a staple in our meals!) with fresh strawberries and honey dew melon!

Just a quick lunch....grilled cheese with fruit! I tried to make a shape cut out but the only shape I had was a butterfly:)

Tilapia..yum!! I kinda winged it with this recipe....a little butter, paprika, cayenne, garlic and fresh squeezed lemon juice. It turned out to be some of the best fish I have made!

Cohen had his fish with garlic risotto and fresh fruit!

We are doing pretty good with our meals so far!! I am beginning to run out of new recipes though so if anybody has some good ones send them my way:)

Audobon

We took our first family trip to New Orleans this week to visit the Audobon Zoo and Aquarium! Tyler and I have visited the big easy many many times in the past but this was a first to bring our child. I have always loved everything that New Orleans has to offer from the food, the buildings, the people and the sound of jazz music everywhere you go!! So it was no surprise to me that Cohen would enjoy it as well!

I have not been to the zoo in NO since I was very young and so this was like going for the first time all over again. We went with some good friends of ours, Johnna and Lance and their little boy Payne!
Payne and Cohen had so much fun together even thought they are a good 2 years apart in age! I can tell these boys will definitely be friends as they get older:)

Here are some pics from our trip. I wish I could have recorded the excitement that these two boys showed as they walked through the zoo!!!
