You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

Sneak a Peek

I just happened to catch a sweet little moment while cooking dinner the other night.

Tyler was running his fingers through Cutie's hair over and over while watching cartoons together....

I guess what made it so sweet was that they didn't know I was watching:)

The Great Grands

Cohen has never made the trip to visit his GREAT Grands until last weekend.

The last time I went was when I was expecting Cohen.

So we were loooong over due for a visit!!

Every time we visit with Granny and Papaw they are always so hands on with Cohen and just love interacting with him:) Granny was even able to pick Cohen up.....which amazes me because I can barely pick up that solid fella of ours!

These are two of the sweetest people and all they wanted to do was make him feel comfortable and offer up an form of entertainment that they could. This mostly included Cohen chasing around their cat in the backyard!

He was very curious about it since he has never seen a cat up close before.

Uncle Mike even got out Noah's riding lawn mower for him to play on!

I thought it was the coolest toy ever but Coco was not quiet sure about riding on it.

It was a wonderful trip and I really hope to go back again soon!

Cohen is super lucky to have such sweet GREAT Grands!!

Fall Foodie

Summer Yummer has now been renamed...

since summer is now officially over...

to FALL FOODIE!!

Fall foods are some of the absolute best and I have lots of favorites in this category!

Unfortunately my waistline reflects how much these comfort meals I intake between now and Thanksgiving.

Well, let's just go ahead and say between now and Christmas!

Ugh, if only comfort foods were not so bad for us.

Is there such a thing as low cal casseroles or pies??

I mean, green beans are fairly healthy right?? wrapped in bacon and covered in brown sugar??

Maybe not.

So my goal for Fall Foodie is to try and make things as healthy as I can.

But let me tell ya, this is not gonna be easy.

Here is my first go at it.

And note that HALF of my plate is covered with a salad.

I should get some bonus points for that:)

Grilled Chicken Kabob with sauteed green beans and butternut squash.

This was my first time to cook butternut squash. And normally I LOVE whatever I cook...

But i DID NOT like the squash.

The texture was funky.

FUNNNNKKKYYY!

I will not be cooking it again.

Smelled good.

But tasted like paste.

ugh

Pure Happiness

I will let the pictures do all the talking.

The look on this child's face in some of these pictures really does melt my heart!

Oh how he brings so much joy to our lives every. single. day.

It's the most wonderful time of the year.........

SEC Football has begun!!

Of course you all know who we pull for in this household.....

That's right.....

The OLE MISS REBELS!!

(Black bear is blasphemy!!)

Since the first time I went to Oxford, I was hooked.

I love everything about it... the town, the people, just the feeling you get when you take the Oxford exit from I-55.

Cotton fields welcome you on your way in from HWY 6.

Rebels flags and signs on every door remind you that you have entered the promise land:)

OLE MISS is at the very core of this place.

The grove might be the most beautiful place to be on a sunny Saturday waiting on the REBS to play!!

I mean, come on what's not to love.......

We may not win 'em all, BUT we will always LOVE OUR REBS!!

Pretty soon Cohen is going to get a taste of what Oxford has to offer!
Until then we are tailgating at home!

Oh My word, look at that big boy!! That jersey suits him well!

That's right Cohen...REBELS!

Table Tailgating:)

HOTTY TODDY!!!!!

(yes, my shirt says "I hate Starkville!!") hahaha

M-I-C-K-E-Y....M-O-U-S-E!!!!

The American Cancer Society Hosted a Character breakfast at Mint Restruant this past Saturday.

I love things like this because it's a win win for everyone!

You pay for a ticket and get to have a great breakfast while hanging out with Disney Characters.

All the while, proceeds go to help with cancer research!

Why don't they do things like this more often??

We would surely be in attendance if they did!

My sweet Momma bought tickets for me and Cohen to go with her.

I must say I was a little nervous about how he would react to a life size Mickey Mouse.

You never know with kids this age.

But to my surprise he absolutely loved them!!

The smile on his face was precious and absolutely priceless!

His favorite was Minnie Mouse! He gave her hugs and kisses and even let her hold him!

I know my mom enjoyed being part of the experience!

Gosh, why did I not get it on video???

Oh well, I think you can get a feel for his excitement by the look on his face:)

Just munchin' on some watermelon....

ooohhh Daisy!!

Yay!!

Donald!

Let me shake your hand!!

Mickey really got his attention:)

Look at that sweet face

The chocolate chip pancakes were a nice touch to the breakfast!

We enjoyed the grins and giggles oh so much:)

I think a trip to Disney World in the near future is a great idea....hehehe!

Bubbles Bubbles everywhere!
