You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

Happy Fall Ya'll

Last week Tyler and I went to Gatlinburg with Cohen, Grammy, and Nana. Let me just say that traveling that far with a six month old made me a little nervous. Well, thats a lie. I was VERY nervous that I might have to listen to a screaming kid for 9 hours. But to my surprise, we did not have one single tear shed! Yay Cohen! This was one of the best trips that I have been on. There was no agenda, no rush, and we were able to enjoy every single minute of our much needed vacation!  We took the long way through Maryville and OH was it gorgeous! Trees were all shades of orange, red and yellow. Gatlinburg is one of my favorite places because of the way it is nestled between the foothills of the Smokies!  The town was decorated to the T with pumpkins, mums, scarecrows and hay bales galore! The food was great (this including the 3, yes I said 3, peanut caramels apples that I ate)!
Nana and Grammy were SO nice to watch Cohen so that the Hubs and I could go out to eat! We even got a chance to play put-put two nights in a row! (Tyler beat me that first time, but I tied him the second!)
Needless to say it turned out to be and absolutely WONDERFUL vacation and I look forward to many more to come!

Enjoy the pics!

A Baby's Top 10 List...

A list of things that you are too young to appreciate as a baby:

1) It is not weird to chew on a book while you "read" it.  Not only is it not weird- it's cute! And please note the fact that you can still see the book when it is in your mouth!

2) When you are angry or want more food, it is totally OK to grunt and wave your arms in the air while kicking your legs sporadically until you get what you want. {Tyler, do not try this at home.}

3) You are still well within your range to laugh at all bodily functions, even if they are not your own!

4) Wearing only your underwear at the beach does not get you arrested.

5) One piece outfits look good on everybody.

6) Message T's are way more acceptable.

7) You can totally be a doctor one day, a fireman the next, and a superhero the day after that and no one things you should be "diagnosed" as something.

8) You can hit the bottle up to 8 times a day and nobody stages an intervention.

9) You are well within your rights to cry at anytime or any place in public.

10) Last but not least, you never have to pretend that you are too cool to want your momma!

My little pumpkin

This little purple phone is his favorite toy right now!

Cohen and Myers were trying to give hugs:)

Not sure what to think of each other!

I have never seen a baby that did not LOVE Dru!

Gosh I could just eat him up!!!

Cutie was mesmerized by the lights in the pumpkin!

Cohen loves his daddy!

Sooo proud that he can sit up all by himself!! Crawling will be his next trick to master!

Ain't he purdy?

Sunday we had an infant baby dedication at Tyler's home church- Topeka Baptist in Jayess. Cohen wore a silk outfit that looked absolutely PRECIOUS on him! Tyler and I vowed to live our lives as an example of Christ and to raise Cohen in a Christian home. We promised to read to him God's holy word in hopes that Cohen will come to know Jesus one day!  It was a most precious ceremony which left Tyler and I both in tears! Afterwards we enjoyed the afternoon at Grammy and Pops house with my mom and dad. Cohen enjoyed a nice nap in Tyler and Uncle Jason's old baby crib (Sweet!). It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day!
