You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

Why I LOVE Christmas!

First- I Love carols. Love. Them. I turn them on before the poor Thanksgiving turkey bones are even in the trash. I have lots of favorites, but I think if I had to pick just one-it would be Winter Snow, sung (sang??) by Chris Tomlin and Audrey Assad. This song is an account of the Birth of Christ and literally makes me cry my eyes out every time I listen to it. This song makes me so aware of the true reason for CHRISTmas and truly humbles me that Christ traded his throne for a wooden manger.
If you love Jesus, you will love this song.
If you've ever heard of Jesus, you will love this song.
If you at least like babies, and "dear, sweet baby Jesus" is ok in your book, you will love this song.
I've found a link to the song so you could listen to it in case you haven't ever heard it before.

Second, I LOVE CHRISTMAS CARDS! I can't express how much I love them! I am like a 5 year old, I literally run to the mailbox and I open the cards standing there at the box half the time. If you were debating adding us onto your list...add us! All of the cards we received just made my day! And a side note, based on the cards we got, we have some really really ridiculously good looking friends and family!

And ALSO, I love our little guy. Who is eight months old now, but might as well be eight years old because he is so darn grown up. Where is my little baby???!! He is pulling up on everything in sight, and  he has developed an amazing sense of humor, he is literally the highlight of my day....which is good because I could use that to look forward to every afternoon!

And he is crawling now, which you could see from the previously posted video. He just practices all day long. I am so proud of him. Is that silly? My Mama heart just swells a little every time I see him fall down and work so hard to get back up and keep going. And when he is heading for me with this big, adorable grin on his face and he just doesn't quite make it to me, and my heart breaks just a teeny bit-is that crazy? I don't know, but when he heads toward me and he does make it-oh my:) We are both so proud.

When is Santa coming???

Two handsome little men!

Who would put this kid on the naughty list??:)

I LOVE my mom's tree! This is actually one of FOUR trees in her house!

Santa baby!

Cohen loves his Nana

Mr. Lova lova gives out sugars!

Cohen and his GREAT Grandmother

Look at those chubby cheeks! I just eat them up!!!!

Santa came to the O'Neal residence!

These jammies were too cute

I am loving Luna Bee Tees!

Cohen's first snow! Even though it was not much we still enjoyed it!

Lastly, but certainly not least, I love Christmas for the time we get to spend with family and reflect on all of our many blessings and give praise to the Father for the unfathomable gift of his Son. I so very much enjoyed spending time with all the members of our family! Cohen enjoyed visiting with Cooper this week! I do love when they get to play together! I loved spending time with my dad at his home! Cohen liked it too! Christmas Eve was a blast at my mom's home! We always have such a good time talking, opening presents and enjoying every one's company!  She works so very hard to make Christmas a spectacular event for everyone! I love my MOM for how special she always makes the holidays for us! Grammy and Pops got to come over and visit for Christmas, and they even let me cook for them. Oh and Martha, just so you know, I have become quite fond of our visits together when you keep Cohen each week!
BUT, the best part of Christmas this year was waking up in our home and watching Cohen enjoy all the splendor that Christmas can offer! Of all the gifts I have received in my life, spending the holidays with my wonderful husband and son for his first Christmas was the best one I could have asked for!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

From point A to point B!

This kid is so close to crawling on hands and knees! We are ready for him to crawl as well! I know that even though he may not be able to express it, but I'm sure Cohen agrees with me on this one! I know he would like to lose the rash that has permanently formed on his cheeks and forehead from all the scooting around he does using his face!!!!

Oh and now I see why my parents called me knot head when I was growing up! Apparently as a child I had bruises on my head all the time from the objects in the house that were not infant appropriate. I am sorry to say that Cohen is a chip off the old block! He too is becoming a KNOT HEAD!!

Merry and Bright!

If Santa really made a list of naughty and nice, I feel pretty sure that Cohen would make it on the "nice" list. Let's just hope Kris Kringle is not watching when cutie is having one of his "moments". Mostly these moments show up when the little guy is tired! Sometimes it is like WW3 trying to get this kid to take a nap when he so obviously needs one. Cohen does not like to miss anything and would much rather be involved with what you are doing rather than taking the nap that he so badly needs! Other than not that, he is such a sweet baby to have around. I can't seem to get enough of his gummy grin, his precious little voice (even though all he is saying is "dada", it still melts my heart!), the way he wants to climb on top of me rather than play with anything else, his two little white teeth that are now accompanied by a top front tooth that showed up this morning, and the way he wants to be with his momma and daddy more than anything in the world!

We are sooo enjoying the holidays with Cohen  and I realize that our lives were not complete until he arrived! Cutie is our most precious gift of all this year!
Nothing like playing in a diaper and  reindeer socks!

Like I said, just call me Curious Cohen!

He pulled this particular ornament off the tree and proceeded to wave it around in the air!

Naughty or nice????
