You will never have this day with your children again. Tomorrow, they'll be a little older than they were today. This day is a gift. Breath and notice. Smell and touch them. Study their faces and little feet and pay attention. Enjoy today mamma, it will be over before you know it.

What a difference a year makes!

Fall 2010

Fall 2011

I can't get over how grown up Cohen is!

This is the most fun stage that we have had with him though...he has such a sweet personality!

(Is the little lady in this picture gorgeous or what!!!!)

Fall and all its glory!

The trees around our neighborhood are so pretty right now.

Cohen thinks the "weeves" are very pretty:)

I mean, it doesn't get much better than this....

nope, sure doesn't!

Cookies and Milk

How special is it when your momma makes you cookies and milk?

It was always the best thing to me when I would come home from college on the weekends and my mom always had cookies for me!

I want to pass that on to Cohen!

Just a little something something to let you know how special you are:)

This makes me hungry!

I think he likes the cookies as much as I do:)

Fall Foodie: Stew

One of my fondest memories as a little girl was the time my dad and I had a day at home when I was around 5 years old.

I remember waking up to go to school.

Going into the kitchen to see my dad standing at the back door drinking his cup of coffee.

He looked at me and said, "Hows about I don't go to work today and you stay home with me?"

Oh my goodness, this was a treat!

My parents worked very hard to support our family and a day at home was not a common occurance.

We took full advantage of the day together.

We watched cartoons.

We played candy land.
(This must have been a favorite game of mine!)

And, we made my favorite meal....

Stew!

I remember it being very cold outside that day and staying inside by the fire:)

I am pretty sure this is one of my best memories with my dad and I!

So...when the weather turned cold last week, it only seemed fitting to make stew just like my dad used to!

This is not something that I have ever attempted to make before, but with many phone calls to my dad about how to make it, I think I pulled it off pretty well!!!

I served it over Mexican cornbread.

It was insanely good!

I should have doubled the recipe and frozen some for another day.

Oh well.

Next time then.

Bubbling goodness

Yumm yumm

Thanks Dad for your help...it turned out so good!

It's the Great Pumpkin Patch!

There are very few things that I love more than a pumpkin patch in the fall.

I have actually been to quite a few in my day.

But I usually have 25 little ones trailing behind me.

This year was the first time to take my own little fella to pick a "punpnin" (pumpkin)!

Believe it or not, it was easier keeping up with the 25 than our 1 little fella!

Tyler and I were exhausted to say the least when we left.

But...

We had an absolute blast!

This place had everything and more!

Pumpkin Patch, Train Rides, Goat Castle (this thing was hilarious to see!), Hay bail maze (We got lost in it!), gorgeous gorgeous sunflower fields, a  Farm animal barn, a corn pool (i kinda wanted to get in there and play with the best of them!!), Sand piles, HUGE pavilions with picnic tables, slides, Tractor rides, and so much more.

Mitchell Farms produces all of their own crops and you can even pick your own produce if you want to!

We even got to bring home a pumpkin each!

It was so much fun and we look forward to keeping this a Fall Family Tradition for many years to come!!

Decorated so pretty for Fall!

Cohen and Brayden loooooved this train ride!

How about this pumpkin?

There's more over there!!

Taking it all in....there was a LOT to look at!

I like this white one but it's a little heavy...

....but this one is just right.

Oh my goodness what a cutie!!

The hay bail maze!!

Um I think we are lost Daddy??

The sunflower fields were so pretty and a perfect photo opp...except one tiny problem...Cohen would NOT smile or look at the camera... Oh well

Daddy I wanna go over there

They had a neat little "rocking" horse barn! This was a huge hit with Coco!

Wouldn't be normal if he didn't try and climb on a table.

This poor dog.
He just lay there and let Cohen poke him in the eyes, nose and paw.

He was  a big hit with the little guy.
I just kept waiting on that dog to bark in his face and scare the daylights out of him.
But that never happened.
Poor fella was either sedated or slightly unconscious!

This tire swing was not exactly age appropriate...i guess that's why it was so enticing!

They had lots of dump trucks to push in the sand.
Oh, the sand.
Piles and Piles of sand.
His shoes were full of....well, sand!

Driving Brayden around in the tractor.

Is it just me or does Cohen look gigantic up next to him??

And Cohen is the younger of the two.

Corn, Corn, and more Corn.

The tepees kept him occupied for quite a while!

Wee! I look more excited than he does ha!

We were surrounded by acres and acres of sunflower fields.
I have never seen anything so pretty!

Checking things out from the wagon ride!

Say "cheese"!!!

If you look really close you can see the tiny bee on it

This was one of the "apples" that we wound up taking home.

yup,,,i said "apples".

There is some confusion there.

A million pictures of our kid!

Here are some pics I took of Cohen this afternoon!

These pants are the cutest!

Oh my word we just eat those cheeks up!!!!!!!!!!

He wanted to play football with Daddy so bad!

He thought it was the coolest thing when Tyler would toss the ball way up in the air!

He's growing up!

We love you big guy!!
